When I embed things to edublogs it is very important that I type all my text first in the post. I should really spell check and proof it good before inserting my movie/slide show. Next get published know we are not done but this is important. the following slide show is from vuvox.com

Shift Happens

The video Did You Know – by Karl Fisch is explaining whats going on today in the world of computers and how they are “making the world flat”. People in 3rd world countries are now able to do the jobs people here do. The catch is the prices; they do the same thing anyone here could do but they only charge $12 an hour compared to people here that would charge $30 an hour.

They have more honors kids than we have kids. This was just shocking to me, China and India’s populations are enormous compared to ours. This means that they will be needing more jobs than they have.

Pixlr review

Pixlr.com

dsbh

This piece of web ware helps edit your photographs, without downloading anything! You can change the colors, add special effects, smudge, burn, blur, sharpen and all that other fun stuff everyone loves doing. The thing that impressed me the most about this would be the all of the different paint brushes you can use! They are SO fun. I really don’t have any suggestions on how to improve anything on the website. There are lots of other reviews who gave pixlr a thumbs up,  just like me. Here is another review on pixlr. I thought it was a little bit confusing though I couldn’t figure out how to save my pictures.

I used pixlr to increase the saturation and make the colors brighter, also inverting the colors.

I also edited this picture using pixlr I inverted the colors once again and added some cool effects.

Picnik Review

Picnik Webwear

Picnik.com

Picnik is very useful for editing your pictures, you want them another way you can change it add colors and all of that good stuff. Plus you don’t have to download anything. This webwear has a editor to make your picture a different color like blue instead of red. You can make your pictures lighter or darker in color or even no colors it can be grey scale. Although it is great I think they should add some more special effects. But after all I would have to give picnik a thumbs up!

These are some expensive photo editors. Picnik doesn’t cost anything unless you are a premium member.

This skull I edited was just an x-ray with black and white but now it is red and fliped it over to face this way.

This had a bunch of color but I decided I didn’t want it so I made it a grey scale.

Web 1.0 VS web 2.0

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , on September 12, 2008 by h3madison
Web 1.0 and Web 2.0 .These two eras are quite different. One of these is WAYY more advanced. So read the rest of my little blog here and find out what one is. Cause I know you want to know. It’ll be very interesting so just do it
Web 1.0
This is a time period-it stands from the beginning of the Internet 1994 to about 2004. Roughly a 10 year era. You could mainly read web pages. It was very hard to make them It’ll stress you out! hah. People would mostly consume not make duhhh un-less you wanted a headache. You couldn’t drag or drop anything. Software for the computers is VERYY expensive. A nd you couldnt even use it on another computer unless you installed it. How stupid!!
Web 2.0
This era started around 2004 and is continuing today it is the second phase of what we know as the Internet. We can now produce our own information (like this) unlike in web 1.0 also you can still consume it too! yay. And webware + soft wear is now available ON the Internet some are free so you don’t have to pay for it and its movable from computer to computer. Fast and easy conversations are a joy too.
Examples –
Go check-out my video to learn more about this era of coolness.
Here’s a little video I made of Web 2.0 and 1.0
